Acronym, Jargon, Abbreviation

Acronym:-

                 

A word formed by combining the initial letters of a multipart name or  parts of a series of words, such as radar from radio detecting and ranging.

Examples:-    

1) CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning)
CALL is a growing field in ILT (Information and Learning Technology) with a wide selection of applications; reference works, study and research tools available as well as plenty of applications targeted at specific English language exams.
 2)KISS – Keep It Simple Stupid
  Used in Chat
3)SWAT – Special Weapons And Tactics
  Used in Military/Government

Jargon:-
Jargon is a type of language that is used in a particular context and may not be well understood outside of it. The context is usually a particular occupation but any in-group can have jargon.The main trait that distinguishes jargon from the rest of a language is special vocabulary—including some-words specific to it.

Examples:-

1)FTP - The failure of an individual to pay a fine
          Police jargon
2)YMMV - Your mileage may vary
          Internet jargon
3)AWOL - Absent without leave
       Military jargon
Abbreviation:-
A shortened form of a word or phrase, such as Jan. for January. The abbreviated form of the word abbreviation is abbr.--or, less commonly,abbrv. or abbrev. Abbreviations are shortened versions of one or two words which are still pronounced the same way, even if they are written as an abbreviation.

2) Hon...........Honorable(Related to name)
3) Inc.............Incorporated(General Abbreviation)

My first day of 5th Semester

My first day of 5th semester was so tough. I was expecting from my department,my teachers that they will welcome me in a very happy mood. But every teacher was teaching like he is teaching for the first time or the last time. Every lecture was of minimum three(03) hours. That was so tough day and i will never forget that day. And still 5th semester is going the toughest semester of my graduation. Every lecture and lab is now going of minimum three hours specially Dr Majid sahab taking his class and lab of three hours normally.so,that was my first day of 5th semester.

Brief Introduction About me

I am Muhammad Tanveer s/o Muhammad Shafiq. I belong to Employes colony Layyah (leiah). I am a student of Computer Engineering at Uet Taxila under registration # 13-cp-50. I am now third year student in Computer Engineering. I passed my f.sc from post graduate college layyah and got 938 marks. I always follow this sentence "Give respect, get respect". I believe that when you give respect to someone,he will return you in double. And my parents always taught me to behave well with others. I belong to that city whom mostly people doesn't know but now because of education my city is well known city of Pakistan. Proud to be muslim,Proud to be Pakistani, proud to be Layyan's. There are so many negative points in myself and a humble request to all of you for pray. Allah Almighty please help us and teach us the right path.
